RasGas is engaged in the business of production and sale of Liquefied Natural Gas and related hydrocarbon products. At present, the company operates a five-train onshore facility at Ras Laffan, which is about 80 km north of the capital city; Doha, in the State of Qatar. The Company, as part of its expansion programme, is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified personnel for the following positions :

Civil Engineering Specialist

Job Purpose
• To provide functional leadership in the technical aspects of building and civil projects and building/plant civil maintenance.
• To carry out detailed design, review detailed engineering aspects, prepare scope of works, repair methodologies etc. and administer all technical aspects related to Civil engineering discipline in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• To provide technical support to Project Engineers and Facilities Maintenance Engineers to ensure that highest civil engineering standards are maintained in the design and implementation of engineering projects and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
• Bachelor/ Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the building industry, of which 5 years shall be in the civil engineering design
• Team player with staff development capabilities and adaptability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills - a good listener and communicator
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Civil engineering software such as ACAD, STAADPRO etc.

Mechanical/ HVAC Engineering Specialist

Job Purpose
• To provide functional leadership in the technical aspects of Mechanical engineering aspects of Building projects and maintenance i.e., HVAC, Plumbing and Drainage and Fire fighting systems.
• To carry out detailed design, review detailed engineering aspects, prepare scope of works etc: and administer all technical aspects related to Building Mechanical engineering discipline in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• To provide technical support to Project Engineers and Facilities Maintenance Engineers to ensure that highest engineering standards are maintained in the design and implementation of the mechanical aspects of engineering projects and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university with post graduate degree in Air conditioning/ building services.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the building industry, of which 5 years shall be in the building mechanical engineering design
• Team player with staff development capabilities and adaptability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills - a good listener and communicator
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Building services design software ACAD, HEVACOMP etc.

Electrical Engineering Specialist

Job Purpose
• To provide functional leadership in the technical aspects of the Electrical Engineering aspects of Building projects and maintenance i.e., Low voltage distribution, Lighting, Low current systems.
• To carry out detailed design, review detailed engineering aspects, prepare scope of works etc. and administer all technical aspects related to Building Electrical engineering discipline in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• To provide technical support to Project Engineers and Facilities Maintenance Engineers to ensure that highest engineering standards are maintained in the design and implementation of electrical engineering projects and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university with post graduate degree in building services.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the building industry, of which 5 years shall be in the building electrical and low current system design

• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Building services design software ACAD, HEVACOMP etc.

QA/ QC Engineer

Job Purpose
• Supervises the implementation and improvement of the Quality Management Systems - ISO 9000 series protocol, Total Quality Management - for the Facilities Management department Building Projects and Facilities maintenance and operations
• Carries out internal Quality System Audits to ensure Quality Systems requirements are met.
• Identifies and assists in implementing innovative Continuous Improvement initiatives in the Facilities Management department

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
• Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the building QA/QC field, of which 5 years shall be in the capacity of the Lead QA/ QC Engineer/ manager.
• Certified Quality systems auditor with experience in the implementation of quality systems for large scale building projects
• Team player with staff development capabilities and adaptability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills - a good listener and communicator

Contracts Engineer

Job Purpose
• To manage the Contracts related to Projects and Operations in the Facilities Management department
• Compile contracts documents including scope of work, compensation sections, terms and conditions etc.
• Execute the Tendering processes in line with the corporate procurement guidelines until contract award and handle all post award contracts administration work.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
• Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the Contracts Engineering field, of which 5 years shall be in the capacity of the Lead Contracts Engineer.
• Extensive experience in the preparation of contracts for construction industry and facilities management contracts
• Team player with staff development capabilities and adaptability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills - a good listener and communicator

Facilities Engineer

Job Purpose
• To provide support in the technical aspects of Building Facilities Maintenance Supervision and Administration.
• To ensure implementation of all technical requirements related to building facilities maintenance in compliance with industry standards and regulations to ensure a safe, healthy, and conducive workplace environment where the company’s assets are secure and protected.
• To provide technical support to facilities supervisors and contractors to ensure that building facilities maintenance and modifications are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
• To provide input in contract planning for outsourcing maintenance services and building facilities modifications, preparing the Section budget, developing, monitoring and updating annual objectives.

Knowledge Skill and Experience
• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities) from a recognised university.
• Minimum 12 years experience, the last 4 years of which are related to the Building Facility Maintenance and Operations aspects of Facilities Management.
• Strong technical, commercial and management background related to building facilities.
• Able to use good communication skills in motivating/influencing people to achieve results.
• Able to analyze complex technical data.
• Computer literate in engineering models, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics. Hands-on experience in SAP.
• Able to influence attitudes and behaviours toward safety and quality priorities in work situations.

Plant Civil Engineer

Job Purpose
• To provide support in the technical aspects of Plant Civil Maintenance Supervision and Administration.
• To ensure implementation of all technical requirements related to plant civil Maintenance in compliance with industry standards and regulations to ensure the integrity of the plant civil structures are maintained to the required standards.
• To provide input in contract planning for outsourcing maintenance services and building facilities modifications, preparing the Section budget, developing, monitoring and updating annual objectives.

Knowledge Skill and Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.
• Minimum 12 years experience, the last 4 years of which are related to the Plant Civil Maintenance.
• Strong technical background related to Plant Civil Structures.
• Able to use good communication skills in motivating/ influencing people to achieve results.
• Able to analyze complex technical data.
• Computer literate in engineering models, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics. Hands-on experience in SAP.

BMS Operator

Job Purpose
• Operates and monitors the Building Management System for the Corporate Head quarter buildings
• Adjusts set points for the building systems to ensure comfort conditions and optimum operation of building services plants.
• Gathers and analyzes data from to BMS and SAP to produce reports, drawings, charts, presentations and flow-charts.
• Provides technical assistance to Facilities section as assigned by Head of Facilities or Lead Engineers.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the building industry, of which 5 years shall be in the areas of Building Management System installation, testing, commissioning/ operation
• Team player with staff development capabilities and adaptability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills - a good listener and communicator
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of BMS systems and control systems.
